History

National Safety Incentives, Inc. was founded in 1994 with the purpose of helping companies reduce their workers compensation insurance costs. We believed that a well designed safety incentive program would motivate employees to take safety seriously and remind them to follow all the safety rules and guidelines of their company. Our belief was that, if there were tangible benefits associated with safety and constant reminders that employees could be hurt, maimed for life, or even killed, accidents would be prevented.

It worked!

National Safety Incentives’ programs began producing immediate results, and the signature STAR Program has proven to be long lasting as well; one of the companies that began utilizing the program in 1994 is still a user!

The company has grown steadily for the past 14 years and currently has clients in 49 of the 50 United States.

Almost from the beginning, National Safety Incentives’ customers requested additional services. It was quickly discovered that other major situations and challenges that most companies face everyday could be addressed with the same investment designated for safety. For example, employers need their employees to:

[Safety] Work safely after they arrive, and
[Turnover] Stay with the company longer after they have been recruited, hired and trained.

NSI’s programs have proven very effective in improving all three of these areas [and more] and, as stated above, with the same investment designated for safety alone. This has resulted in tremendous savings to our customers.
